We are delighted to announce that due to popular demand the Altons and Honeystreet Open Gardens Festival will take place on Sunday 8th June 11am to 6pm in aid of local charities.    Adults £7, under 16 free of charge.

The 12 gardens follow a picturesque trail between our 3 villages, encompassing all its hidden gems and delights. On arrival at the Coronation Hall you will be given an admission 'passport' to all gardens and concerts, including a clearly labelled map and suggested route to help you find your way around. Each garden will be clearly signed.

With so many varied gardens open throughout the villages you are sure to find something for everyone: small cottage gardens, beautiful formal gardens both large and small, ancient meadows and breath-taking views of the surrounding countryside, all beneath the gaze of our iconic White Horse. Other attractions include music recitals in All Saints Church, plant sales (dotted  throughout), interesting gardenalia, locally sourced refreshments.   There will be plenty to see and do, no matter what the weather!

Good Causes

The owners all share a passion for gardening and a sense of community. Proceeds from the event go towards the maintenance of the Coronation Hall which supports community events, the All Saints Roof Appeal (following the left of its lead roof in 2015) and to Prospect Hospice which provides much valued end-of-life care services in the local community.

Dogs

We welcome well behaved dogs on leads in most gardens, with the exception of just one or two.  Please respect those individual gardens unable to accommodate our furry friends.
